I usually use RAC Routeplanner if I'm travelling to a new destination. Google now offer a similar service which compares favourably.

Don't take my word for it. Try this.

1. go to www.google.com

2. click on "maps"

3. click on "get directions"

4. type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)

5. type "London" in the second box (the "to" box)

6. click on "get directions"

7. scroll down to step #23

That's hilarious! You'd have to spend a bit more time at the gym to manage that feat.

Were it not for Icebergs, Sharks, Pirates, Russian Submarines, and Kraken I would consider it.
However, having viewed the tribulations of the Loggerhead Turtle who also swims at 1 mile per hour, I have decided against it due to the 3400 hours of agonizing terror that would be required to complete such an endeavour.

This was in the newspaper last week. Doesn't make it any less funny, of course.

Excellent! Apparently to get from Grimsby to New York, you have to swim from France...

And so are you going to attempt it?

Personally, I think HE is being slightly overcautious. And will you blog on your journey?
