Snakes on the Brain

As if the weekend wasn't long enough already ( Bank Holidays, a hard-right fundamental religious device to ensure that even die-hard singletons eventually succumb to marriage to avoid the tedium of yet another lonely 50% Extra Free weekend), I go and extend it even further by going out. On a Friday night. When I could have been slowly easing the tensions of the week by getting rapidly pissed on the sofa with a bottle of cheap Chilean Sauvignon Blanc.

I went to the cinema with Darbster.

I let him choose the movie.

Truly awfully dire.

We pretty much guessed who would buy it, how and in what order.

But it was okay because I had nachos with extra chillies. But only a Regular portion. See how good I am getting at this dieting lark!

Next time I get to choose. I pick salsa dancing.

CP - Bank Holidays are wonderful!! This die-hard Singleton loves them. More time to read books, lay in bed, going birding ;)

I want more of 'em

I love the Pearl and Dean intro! I miss all every time I go to the pictures because I always get in just before the film starts.

Come on, tell the truth, I bet you jumped a couple of times when the rubber snakes surged forward!

Nachos with chillies, Cherrybabe! Is that with Salsa? x

I love how movies like that take every opportunity to dole out the consequences of bad karma. The really "good" people and the children never die. I haven't seen the show, but let me guess...some drunk Yank who is hassling the flight attendant gets it first, or maybe the chauvinistic assshole co-pilot who has already ruined a few marriages because he keeps cheating on his wife.
The hero is probably the hassled flight attendant who teams up with a do-good passenger...someone in law enforcement, trying to get a break from his hectic schedule?

I haven't seen Snakes yet, but I would be seriously dissapointed if it was actually good!

And as for long weekends, this single girl feels sorry for all the poor miserable marrieds who have an extra day with their spatting partner. I'm with Pete, cept for maybe the birding thing! ;)

I saw a cartoon of an al-qaeda guy watching Snakes On A Plane and he yells out
WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!

How many Oscars?
This movie won't do much for the Mile High Club!

Pete - I do loads of that as it is. I am beginning to overcome my pathological hatred of Bank Holidays though.

Cream - I was jumping more than scratched Bay City Rollers album.

Brian - you've pretty much got it. No need to wait for the dvd now.

Lee - that is a very good way of looking at it. I have had some pretty miserable bank holidays at the end of failing relationships. Then the 90s ended.

HE - as if flying needed any worse Press.

mark - or should I cally you "Jiminy Cricket". I know. I know.
