Weekend Homework

I'm taking Del's advice. Tomorrow morning, early ( any time before noon on a Saturday), I am heading across the Pennines, stopping only to pick up Lorraine, towards Anglesey via Selfridges' Food Hall and a spot of retail rehabilitation in Manchester City Centre.

You might want to use the time whilst I am away to grow your toenails, trim your nasal cavities, change your email/blog address or have a go at a fun, but thought-provoking exercise which I was going to leave but have changed my mind.

The sun is shining so just enjoy!

By the way, if you stop by Hannants, I need three tins of Humbrol RAF Interior Green

just because i've come out as a fan of yours doesn't justify omitting a stimulating exercise on your blog. unless, or course, you have other reasons...

Steg - I did :)

Fronty - the Humbrol factory is just a mile or so away from where I work - I know some of the managers. I shall enquire whether they have a factory shop and place an order for you.

KJ - it just looked so long in the cold light of day. Maybe another time when I'm going away for a longer period.

Sharon - we didn't make it to the Trafford Centre. Manchester itself is so great now. They have a Selfridges right next to Harvey Nichols. I'd forgotten how great it is to buy things that come in great carrier bags.

Cream - it was hard but I managed to tear myself away from the Food Hall and the Armani sunglasses eventually

Cherry - we've been on Llanddwyn Beach this afternoon. Great kite-surfers. I may post a gratuitous pic of men in wetsuits to honour the occasion.

Please tell me you're kidding. That close? I'll leave everything behind and become your domestic slave in return for an hour a week there >B^D>

My word, surrounded by fumes of Dark Earth, Post Office Red, Oxford Blue, Trainer Yellow . . .

I was semi-kidding about the paint, but it overwhelms me you'd even think to ask >B^D>

You are so right about the bags! Until you said that I'd forgotten the joy of a bag with a bottom and real cord as a handle - omg I need to go shopping, it's been sooo long . . .

Kite-surfing is brilliant, but I'd have to buy a whole lot of new equipment that would retire the mountain of windsurfing gear I've lovingly tended and stored for the past 10 years ... and to tell you the truth...my aching back is just not up to it today! :-D

Ziggi - it must be almost 3 years since I stepped foot in a PROPER department store, with cosmetics counters and free samples. It was great. I don't know which partof the country you are in, but if you ever fancy hooking up for a Reintroduction to Retail Day, give me a shout.

HE - you always have an uncanny knack of leaving an appropriate comment. We took in a Willard Wigan exhibition of his microscopic scultpures all on pinheads. It was incredible.

Mise - if you've got a wetsuit, that would be enough to keep me entertained.

Mise - don't let her abuse you like that! Make her post pics of women in wetsuits first. HE'll back me up on this, and I won't look. Honest! >B^D>

Cherry, I already trimmed my nasal cavities (both of them) and let my toenails grow, now what do I do?

I hope you had fun. Did you discover any nice new perfumes?
