On the Second Day of...

Advent* my True Love, had he bothered to show up, could have admired my new sheets. From the inside.

You could also have admired them from afar if the handy little toolbar at the top of the editing box hadn't chosen this evening to make itself scarce too.

Never ever being able to share my bed, under any circumstances seems to be Fate's idea of a joke.

*The Webmaster is pleased to receive all comments and will modify the content where to do otherwise may cause offence to priests**, pedants or Peter Postlethwaite.

** And I think technically a Priest is Catholic but I liked the alliteration.

The second day is only the second day, Cherrypie.

There are still many more days (and nights) to go for some Knight in Shining Armor (or Peter Postlewaite or a 6-foot-6 rugby player, should he fit) to discover what your sheets look from inside them.

And besides that, you seem to be starting early. I wish you luck, although I don't think you need it.

Today is the first day of Advent, as far as I know. You're thinking of the first day of December, which is not the same thing at all.

Still, I'd hate to be thought of as a pedant, or a priest, so feel free to carry on with your technical mistakes.

I bought some new egyptian cotton sheets the other day. But I think I've blogged about them before.

'Today' being Sunday the 3rd, of course, not Saturday, when you posted this item.

Of course, when you were in Norfolk, if you'd called round to see me as you promised, you could have inpsected my new sheets in person.

Oh Cheryy Pie, I tried so many times to respond to this post but I am restraining myself. I don't know what to say that would be acceptable to the blog administrator so I better go brew some coffee and mind my own business. Are there limitations as to who can share your bed?

So if today (Sunday) is the third day, and thinking of where you've been on holiday recently, cpuld the next post be about three French men?!

WW - there's still time enough for the entire rugby team, including subs, to show up and try their luck yet.

Dave - I don't know what I'd do without your guiding hand. Maybe we should compare sheets next time I am in Norfolk.

Cream - I've given up advertising as there were never any takers.

Ces - the potential sharers are very limited indeed.

KJ - in theory there will be 24 in total but I might run out of steam before then.

Seany - I'd have told you about the 3 French Men by now if there had been any

Anglican and Episcopal priests don't rate?
We have new flannel sheets, and they are lovely and warm but not remotely romantic.

If your True Love shows up, in all probability, admiring the sheets will be among the last things on his mind :).
